Martin Garrix’s ‘Pizza’ music video is a love letter to his fans
Dutch DJ and record producer Martin Garrix released the official music video for his brand new single ‘Pizza‘ this morning and, honestly, it’s just a gigantic love letter to his fans.
Because, while ‘Pizza‘ itself is this massive, joyous house anthem with enormous soaring strings and a resurging pounding beat, the video is just as massive, just as joyous but, instead of being an advertisement for Garrix, it is more of a thank you for his fans.
After all, Garrix could have chosen any film footage to illustrate this new song. Instead he went with video of his fans.
Fans who appear in their tens of thousands to his sold-out shows across the globe. Fans who stand in line for hours just to get an autograph or say hi. Fans who get a hug from Martin Garrix and think their lives are complete. Fans who believe everything he does is magic. Fans who think this young Dutch DJ is better than any slice of pizza they will have and wave signs telling him that — “I love you more than pizza”.

And, as a pizza lover myself, I have to say I agree with them to some extent. Because, with his music and his shows, and his enormous energy, Martin Garrix brings a lot of joy and a lot of love into the world.
And that’s what this quite lovely ‘Pizza’ music video does as well. It celebrates music, fun, joy, love, the importance of living life to the fullest and, yes, pizza. And what could be better than that?
