Midnight Photo Studio premiere date is close

ENA has officially announced the premiere date for its highly anticipated drama Midnight Photo Studio (aka Midnight Studio or야한 (夜限) 사진관) featuring the superb ensemble cast of Joo Won, Kwon Nara, Yoo In Soo, and Eum Moon Suk.

Set to captivate audiences with its intriguing plotline (see below), the Monday-Tuesday series is scheduled to debut on the Korean  pay TV network on March 11 at 10 p.m. (KST).

Midnight Photo Studio plot overview

Midnight Photo Studio follows photographer Seo Ki Joo (played by Joo Won) who operates a unique photo studio exclusively catering to the deceased.

Ki Joo is the seventh owner of the studio, and works with partner Han Bom (Kwon Na Ra), a lawyer who never tolerates injustice, and two employees — Assistant Manager Go (Yoo In Soo) and Baek Nam Gu (Eum Moon Suk).

The drama explores the delicate balance between life and death amidst sometimes strange encounters with visitors who only arrive at night.

Directorial expertise and screenwriting talent

Helming the upcoming Korean drama is veteran director Song Hyun Wook, who is known for his exceptional work on acclaimed dramas like Beauty Inside, The King’s Affection, Another Miss Oh and Marriage Not Dating.

Screenwriting talent comes in the form of Kim Yi Rang, the writer of Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency and Not a Robot, and who wrote the scripts for the 16-episode K-drama.

Midnight Photo Studio premiere date

Mark your calendars for the premiere of Midnight Photo Studio on March 11 at 10 p.m. KST, showing exclusively on ENA in South Korea.

No announcement has yet been made as to when or where the ENA drama will stream outside Korea, but we will update you as soon as we find out.

Meanwhile, if you like a cool K-drama that looks at the supernatural only the way Koreans can, this one sounds unique.
