There has been a lot of confusion over the last few weeks as to if singer Miley Cyrus is engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth. First she is, then she isn’t, and then…..nobody knows. So, it was cool to see Miley Cyrus herself confirm her engagement to Liam Hemsworth on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week.
Her ‘re-engagement’, should I say, as Cyrus and Hemsworth were first engaged in 2012, and then broke it off in 2013.
Of course, it was Ellen herself that broached the subject by asking, “There is a photo that got a lot of attention of your engagement ring. Are you wearing it right now?” Cyrus responded with “I am”.
“Congratulations” said Ellen.
Of course, this being Miley, her of the crazy and cool fashion sense, she had to clarify that, yes, this was a real engagement ring and you could tell because:
“This is really weird because this is like real jewelry and most of my jewelry is made out of gummy bears and cotton candy, and they don’t look that good together ’cause they kind of mix up.”
“So sometimes I like replace it with an actual unicorn or a Looney Tune. And he’s kind of like what’s going on? And I am like, ‘This isn’t really my aesthetic, but I’ll wear it because you love me.'”
Awwwwwww.
And congratulations to Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth on their engagement. Again. Because I have always thought they made a great couple.
As for Miley, she is currently filming season 13 of The Voice.
