Korean mystery romance drama My Perfect Stranger, Episode 15 aired last night with similar ratings to what the drama has earned throughout its run.
According to Nielsen Korea, those ratings were 4.4 percent nationwide, which is down an insignificant .10 percent from the 4.5 percent for the drama’s previous episode.
In Seoul, the drama earned a slightly higher 4.8 percent, which was also .10 percent down from the show’s fourteenth episode.
Those ratings ranked the show in 12th place nationwide for the day, and in 8th place in Seoul, and are also consistent with the drama’s ranking since it premiered on May 1st.
My Perfect Stranger audience stays loyal to mystery drama
In proof that the Kim Dong Wook-led drama has grabbed viewers’ attention and been able to keep it, you only have to look at the ratings for My Perfect Stranger throughout its run.
Starting out with a 4.5 percent/4.2 percent share of the audience in its time slot and, other than a fall to 3.8 percent nationwide and 3.6 percent in Seoul for its fifth episode, the ratings for each episode have been between 4.00 – 4.50 percent of audience share for every episode.
That suggests most viewers were intrigued with the murder mystery right from its first episode and have stuck with it through to its end to see how the mystery is solved.
International viewer ratings consistent as well
This also holds true when you look at the opinions of international viewers currently watching My Perfect Stranger and rating the drama on My Drama List and Viki.
On My Drama List, the ratings for the drama started out at an average of 8.3 out of 10 after its second episode aired, which is quite high for users of that site.
Now, just a few hours before the final episode of My Perfect Stranger airs, the ratings are at an even higher 8.5 out of 10, with comments also suggesting just how much viewers have enjoyed every episode of the show.
The same holds true on Viki, where the drama’s very high 9.4 rating out of 10 has also been consistent throughout.
Kudos, of course, must go to screenwriter Baek So Yeon (also the writer of the equally good The Tale of Nokdu), directors Kang Soo Yeon and Lee Woong Hee and, of course, to the superb cast led by Kim Dong Wook and Jin Ki Joo.
The final episode of My Perfect Stranger will air on KBS2 at t 21:45 (KST) tonight, and stream via Viki and Kocowa soon after.
