Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats Give Rocking Tiny Desk Concert at NPR (Video)

I wrote about Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats’ debut album a couple of months ago, and mentioned how wonderful it was. An album that is still on my list of the best of the year, I might add. So I was excited to see NPR upload a new video today for their Tiny Desk Concert series. A video of Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats in their very own Tiny Desk Concert.

And yes, NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts are always exceptional, but this one with Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats has to be one of the best NPR has facilitated in a while. Because these guys are absolutely rocking live.

During the mini concert, they sang ‘I Need Never Get Old’, ‘Look It Here’, and ‘I’ve Been Failing You‘. Then they were persuaded to play “one more song”, and came out with ‘Mellow Out’, which I think was easily the best track of this performance.

Although, let’s fact it, every song was pretty much sheer perfection, with this fabulous band pulling off a performance that made me (and you, probably when you watch it) bop around in my chair with the absolute pure joy of it all.

Watch Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats in the video below. And, if you love that sound (honestly, how could you not?) their debut self-titled album is one of the finest that has been released this year. No lie.
