Niall Horan performs a sweet live version of ‘Slow Hands’ on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge

One Directioner Niall Horan was back in the BBC Radio One Live Lounge today (June 8th, 2017) where he performed ‘Slow Hands‘, the second single from his upcoming debut solo album, as well as a very sweet cover of Julia Michaels’ ‘Issues‘.

Slow Hands‘ is a cool funk-pop song Horan decided he wanted on his new album as it was different than the rest of the tracks. A little bit edgier, not quite as ‘pop’, and with a really sweet bass.

Lyrics-wise, the track is also a departure from the usual message so many singers around Horan’s age usually put out as, instead of being man-centric about a relationship, it’s very ‘woman empowering’ as it is about a woman who knows what she wants, isn’t shy saying it, and what she wants is him.

Niall Horan released ‘Slow Hands‘ as a single at the beginning of May and it hit various charts in over 15 countries soon after, with its highest placing in both Ireland and Scotland at number five.

Watch Niall Horan perform ‘Slow Hands‘ in the BBC Radio One Live Lounge in the video below.

It’s the second time this week he’s played the song live, as he also performed it as part of the One Love Manchester show on Sunday to benefit the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing.
