With the previous episode of the tvN period drama Our Blooming Youth holding steady on Monday night, I fully expected to have the Our Blooming Youth, Episode 16 ratings be released by Nielsen Korea today, and see the show increase its audience share.
Instead, the just released Our Blooming Youth, Episode 16 ratings show the drama actually lost audience share on Tuesday night.
That audience drop caused the drama to fall half a percentage point in Korea nationwide, and an even higher .8 percent in Seoul.
That means Episode 8 earned the historical drama its lowest ever ratings since the show premiered on February 6th to a 4.2 percent and 5 percent audience share.
Let’s hope then, with just four more episodes before it ends, the show can pick up audience share in Korea again and end with a bang rather than a wimp, as it is a beautifully produced drama.
Meanwhile, outside Korea, Our Blooming Youth continues to do well with international audiences.
They are still rating the drama a high 8.2 out of 10 on My Drama List, and a very high 9 out of 10 on Viki, where it is currently streaming.
Our Blooming Youth stars Joen So Nee as Min Jae Yi, and Park Hyung Sik as Lee Hwan.
The drama is airing via tvN in South Korea every Monday and Tuesday at 20:50 (KST), and on Amazon Prime Video and Viki outside the country.
