Sam Smith’s ‘Writing’s On The Wall‘, the theme song for the new Bond movie SPECTRE, was released yesterday. And I’m one of the seemingly tens of thousands who do not like it. It’s depressing and dreary, and seemingly goes nowhere.
But I did just come across a piano version of Sam Smith’s ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ that is absolutely gorgeous.
Recorded by London-based Music Lab Collective, and performed by pianist Guy Hughes, the piano version of ‘Writing’s On The Wall‘ is delicate, subtle and, without the falsetto that almost kills the Smith version, it sounds much more Bond-like.
