The Japanese stop-motion series Pokémon Concierge premiered on Netflix on December 28th, with the series already making it onto the platform’s Top 10 Most-Watched Non-English TV Shows chart just three days after its release.

According to Netflix via its Tudum websitePokémon Concierge hit #6 on the chart three days after it premiered on the streaming platform.

A pretty amazing result considering the Japanese show was up against other non-English TV shows that had been on the platform for the full week the chart’s data was compiled from, while Pokémon Concierge’s viewer numbers came from just three days.

And an even more superb result when you realize, unlike most of the other series in the Top 10, Pokémon Concierge only consists of four episodes.

Those numbers for the week of December 25th to December 31st, 2023, by the way, show Pokémon Concierge earning 2.6 million views for a total of 3.1 million hours viewed.

Then again, the Japanese series is incredibly cute, features some of the most loved characters of the last few decades, and is the perfect series for both long-time Pokemon fans and their kids as, yep, it’s family friendly too.

The series, by the way, stars the voices of Japanese actors Rena Nōnen, Fairouz Ai, Okuno Eita and Takemura Yoshiko, with the English dub version featuring the voices of Karen Fukuhara, Imani Hakim, Josh Keaton and Lori Alan.

Just in case you haven’t yet started watching Pokémon Concierge, you can do so now via Netflix.

If you do, it may just end up on next week’s Top 10 Most-Watched Non-English TV Shows chart as well.
