PVRIS Release Cover of Sia’s ‘Chandelier’, Sounds Just The Same (Video)

PRVIS Chandelier

We’ve all heard those covers of Sia’s ‘Chandelier‘. You know, those covers you wish you could unhear, they really are that terrible. Well, today, I’m sharing indie rock band PVRIS’ cover of ‘Chandelier‘ because, this one, it’s a thing of beauty.

The cover is from the upcoming Punk Goes Pop Volume 6 which, as well as PVRIS, also includes a variety of other artists doing covers of well known songs.

And, sure, the amazing Lyn Gunn, the lead singer of PVRIS, sounds so much like Sia here, you’d be hard pressed to distinguish the two from each other. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, though. After all, the song suits Lyn’s incredible voice so perfectly it could have been written for her.

Personally, though, as much as I love Lynn Gunn and PVRIS and think this cover is absolutely beautiful, I still would love to hear them do something just a little different with the track, as they definitely have the musical ability and the edge to do so.
