Seafret Releases New Album ‘Tell Me It’s Real’ and It’s Beautiful and Honest and Sad (Video)

UK acoustic duo Seafret‘s debut album was released yesterday and, yep, it’s a good one.

The Bridlington boys (Jack Sedman and Harry Draper) first came to my attention back in December when I came across their wonderful video for ‘Wildfire, a video based on a famous social experiment. As I thought ‘Wildfire‘ was one of the prettiest songs I’d heard in a long time, and I loved the concept of the video, I’ve been waiting for their debut album since then. It’s here and it’s certainly not a disappointment.

Because Seafret has this simple way about them, and every track on their new album is sweet and honest and beautiful, and quite a little bit sad.

It’s the type of music you listen to when you are sad, as it embodies all those emotions you’re feeling. And it’s the type of music you listen to when you’re happy, as it makes you remember that feeling you feel when you realize you love someone so much.

Tell Me It’s Real is on the Sweet Jane Recordings/Columbia Records label. You can pick it up on digital music sites. You can also listen to every track on the album on Seafret’s YouTube channel. And, while you’re there, remember to subscribe. These guys are going to be huge.

Meanwhile, listen to one of the tracks from their debut album — ‘Out of Nowhere‘ — in the video below. It’s one of my favorites.
