Selena Gomez’ ‘Look At Her Now’ continues self-empowerment message with 2nd release from new album and it’s as catchy as hell

There was a very nice surprise this morning. A second single release from Selena Gomez‘ upcoming third studio album in just two days.

This one is the synth pop track ‘Look At Her Now‘ and, like ‘Lose You To Love Me‘, which was released on Tuesday, ‘Look At Her Now‘ also came with a superb music video.

And yep, it was filmed on an iPhone as well.

Just like her Tuesday release, the video for Selena Gomez’ ‘Look At Her Now‘ is another one that is quite simple.

Just Gomez in a room with a group of female dancers, a couple of outfit changes, and singing about how far she has come now she is completely over that failed romance.

In other words, just like ‘Lose You To Lose Me‘, ‘Gomez’ ‘Look At Her Now‘ is another massive female self-empowerment song.

As is that video.

And Holy HELL, is this new song the catchiest thing you have ever heard. And aren’t those lyrics fabulous?

Of course she was sad
But now she’s glad she dodged a bullet (Mm)
Took a few years to soak up the tears
But look at her now, watch her go

Mm-mm-mm, mm-mm-mm, mm-mm
Look at her now, watch her go
Mm-mm-mm, mm-mm-mm, mm-mm
Wow, look at her now

Interestingly too, in this latest single release, Gomez is more removed than she was in Tuesday’s release as, in ‘Look At Her Now‘, she sings in the third person.

Almost as if she is up above looking down on that young woman who used to be in a world of pain, and cheering her on for getting over it.

Watch the short but extremely powerful music video for Selena Gomez’ ‘Look At Her Now‘ below, and listen to it again in the Spotify widget below that.

And, of course, keep your fingers crossed these new releases from Gomez’ third studio album will keep on coming.

Because, so far, they’re incredible. And because Selena is proving yet again why she is always so far ahead of the pack by not releasing her new music on Friday.

Because why would you want to compete with the rest of the pack by doing that?
