The anticipation for the upcoming romantic comedy anime series, Senpai is an Otokonoko continues to rise as a new key visual, and trailer have been released, along with a reveal of the main staff, and cast members.

Get to know the main cast of Senpai is an Otokonoko with three main voice actors named so far, along with the characters they play.
They are:
- Shuuichirou Umeda (Akira in Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead) who is voicing Makoto Hanaoka
- Akira Sekine (Charlotte in Princess Principal) is playing Saki Aoi
- Yuuma Uchida (Ritsuka in Given) is Ryuji Taiga
Senpai is an Otokonoko based on aweb manga
The romantic comedy anime Senpai is an Otokonoko is based on web manga Otokonoko ga Kouhai ni Kokuhaku sareru Hanashi (おとこのこが後輩に告白される話), which was originally published by the author on Twitter and via Pixiv.
The manga was eventually picked up by WEBTOON, which is where English-speaking manga fans can currently read it — although wouldn’t it be nice if a paperback edition came out soon?
WEBTOON describes the Senpai is an Otokonoko plot like this:
Can true love really overcome any obstacles? Saki, a high school student, confesses her feelings to Makoto. Taken aback, Makoto reveals his secret, but the sudden discovery doesn’t seem to bother Saki who is already head over heels for him.
After being rejected, Saki asks Ryuji, Makoto’s childhood friend, for some advice on how to win his heart. A love triangle unfolds when Ryuji realizes that he might also have some feelings for his old friend.
Main Senpai is an Otokonoko staff

There is no word yet when the romantic comedy anime series will premiere. Only that it is scheduled for some time in 2024, and that is will be streaming on Crunchyroll.
