Shumatsu Train Doko e Iku trailer does nice job showcasing girls’ personalities and that lovely art style

Latest Shumatsu Train Doko e Iku trailer shows just how well the girls get along

There’s an absolutely adorable new Shumatsu Train Doko e Iku trailer out featuring the four main girls as they set off on their journey to find their friend.

And can I just say those girls are not only as cute as heck, but they seem to have pretty strong personalities as well, and I’m definitely on board with that. (Sorry.)

The latest Shumatsu Train Doko e Iku trailer starts off with Shizuru Chikura (who recently also got her very own character trailer) showing the girls how to drive the train they have just commandeered.

Soon the girls — Reimi, Akira, the aforementioned Shizuru, and Nadeshiko — are off on their adventure, with quite a carefree attitude to say they have no idea what awaits them in the outside post-apocalyptic world when they get there.

The trailer also does a nice job of showing off that lovely art style and the superb animation EMT Squared (Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear) is known for producing.

Production details for Train to the End of the World

Shumatsu Train Doko e Iku (aka Train to the End of the World) is being directed by Tsutomu Mizushima (Shirobako) who is also sound directing the series.

Michiko Yokote (The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! and Shirobako) is in charge of series composition, with character designs by Asako Nishida (Love Live! School Idol Project) who is also the anime’s chief animation director.

EMT Squared, who is used to creating anime with some of the cutest girls (Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, Nyanko Day, and I’m Quitting Heroing) is responsible for anime production.

And so far, it looks beautiful.

The Train to the End of the World original anime series is due to premiere on April 1st, 2024.

There is no word yet on which streaming platform will be licensing the anime, but we will update you as soon as that information is released.

Meanwhile, check out the latest Train to the End of the World trailer.

Heck even in a post-apocalyptic world, it still looks gorgeous.
