Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 Ep 5 is FIRST in its time slot as Lee Yeon finally meets Cheon Moo Young

Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 5 still easily attracting a loyal audience

The South Korean fantasy drama Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 5 aired on tvN last night and, as has occurred with every episode in the series so far, the ratings show it ended up first in its time slot.

First both nationwide in Korea and in Seoul, that is.

According to the latest numbers from Nielsen Korea, Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, Episode 5 garnered 5.53 percent of the nationwide audience, as well as an even higher 6.65 percent in Seoul.

Yes, those numbers are slightly down from the Lee Dong Wook-led drama’s previous episode but, as has been the case since the drama premiered on May 6th, the episode airing on Saturday tends to attract fewer viewers than the Sunday show.

With the next episode of Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 airing later on today, it is highly likely the number of viewers it attracts will be back up.

Especially as Episode 5 ended with Lee Yeon (Lee Dong Wook) finally meeting his old friend Cheon Moo Young (Ryu Kyung Soo), and it being obvious right away that neither trust or particularly like the other.

Either way, though, heading towards its mid-way point, and Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 is still one of South Korea’s most popular dramas this season so far.

And rightfully so, as it is one of the best Korean dramas airing at the moment.

When is the next episode of Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 airing?

The next episode of Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 will air on tvN in South Korea at  21:20 (KST), and then on TVING.

Outside the country, Episode 6 should be up on Amazon Prime Video around the same time.

Until then, enjoy the Episode 6 teaser via tvN below.

Sure, it is in Korean with no English subtitles (sorry, but I like to support the home country’s YouTube channel and not some dodgy rip-off channel), but you can get the gist, right?
