Taxi Driver 2, Episode 5 gets biggest audience yet in Korea – international audiences love it too

The SBS drama Taxi Driver 2 continues to roar off in the ratings, with Taxi Driver 2, Episode 5 ratings showing its biggest audience yet in Korea.

According to Nielsen Korea, the Taxi Driver 2, Episode 5 ratings show a 14.7 percent of the audience share in its time slot nationwide last night, placing it firmly in first place.

In Seoul, Episode 5 performed even better with a 16.3 percent share of the audience, which also put it in the top spot.

Those ratings are even higher than the first episode of Taxi Driver 2, which scored a very respectable 12.1 percent audience share nationwide, and a 12.8 percent in Seoul.

It isn’t just Korean audiences that love Taxi Driver 2, as the drama is currently getting a 9.8 out of 10 rating from international audiences on Viki, and an 8.8 on My Drama List, which is a very high score for the users of that site.

Taxi Driver 2 is the follow up to the very successful first season of the revenge drama.

It is based on a hit webtoon, and follows the people who work for a strange taxi service that metes out revenge for people who find themselves in a terrible situation, and are then failed by the law.

The Korean drama stars Lee Je Hoon, Kim Eui Sung, Pyo Ye Jin, Jang Hyuk Jin, who all appeared in Season 1 and are all reprising their roles.

The wonderful Shin Jae Ha (who is fresh off superbly playing the role of Ji Dong Hee in this year’s Crash Course in Romance) is the newcomer for Season 2.

Both Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming via Viki outside Korea.
