The second season of the highly successful Korean action crime drama The Player is now in full swing, with The Player 2, Episode 3 airing last night on tvN to the show’s best ratings yet.

Those ratings via Nielsen Korea were 4.18 percent nationwide, which is an increase from the drama’s previous episode of 3.96 percent.

The Korean drama also earned a solid 4.31 percent in Seoul versus its previous episode’s 4.06 percent.

Both ratings placed the K-drama in 2nd place for most-watched cable TV shows on Monday.

They were still quite a bit lower than those earned by Crash, however, which was the #1 most-watched cable TV show yesterday.

The Player 2 still earning superb international ratings

With how well The Player 2 is currently performing in South Korea, it shouldn’t be any surprise to see how well the K-drama is doing in ratings from international viewers either.

My Drama List users currently have the action thriller with a solid 8.1 out of 10, while Viki subscribers who are currently watching the drama on that platform are rating it an even higher 9.4 out of 10.

The Player 2 stars Song Seung Heon, Oh Yeon Seo, Tae Won Suk, Lee Si Eon and Jang Gyu Ri.

Its next episode will air later on tonight on tvN in Korea, with Viki streaming it for its international subscribers.

The 12-episode Korean action drama is currently scheduled to run through July 9th, 2024.
