The Rolling Stones release awesome guitar-driven alternate version of ‘Dead Flowers

The Rolling Stones have just released a video of an alternate version of their classic song ‘Dead Flowers‘. The release is in part to help celebrate the remastered deluxe reissue of the band’s 1971 album Sticky Fingers, which we’ll get to grab on June 9th, and is a much more guitar-driven harder version than the original, which I am just loving.

(In fact, I like it even better than the original as it’s just that bit more rockin’).

The Stones have also put together a suitably 1970s-style music video (well, if we had had music videos back then) to go with the song. Fabulous.

Watch and listen to the new version of ‘Dead Flowers’ in full below. And pre-order the deluxe reissue of Sticky Fingers on iTunes.

It does, by the way, include a few never before released bonus tracks, as well as a fabulous extended version of ‘Bitch’ and live versions of five other songs. Sweet.
