Twinkling Watermelon‘s ratings recover slightly after last week’s substantial drop

Twinkling Watermelon, the only drama airing on South Korean TV on Monday nights, aired last night to an increase in its ratings versus last week’s lowest ever rating.

According to the new numbers from Nielsen Korea, Twinkling Watermelon, Episode 9 earned 3.71 percent of the audience share nationwide, compared to last week’s 3.08 percent.

Considering the drama’s ratings have dropped quite substantially over the last few episodes from their all-time high of 4.68 percent for Episode 4, to see them on the rise again is encouraging.

Twinkling Watermelon, Episode 9’s ratings in Seoul see a big increase

The ratings for Twinkling Watermelon, Episode 9 in Seoul also saw a huge increase after an almost catastrophic drop for Episode 8 of the teen drama from viewers in the nation’s capital city.

Those ratings last night were 4.38 percent after Episode 8 dropped to a crazy low of 2.92 percent versus its previous episode’s 4.04 percent.

Luckily for the tvN drama, it appears that massive ratings drop in Seoul was just a one-off, with last night’s ratings showing signs the drama is on the rebound.

Let’s see how the K-drama’s next episode performs tonight though before we may a call.
