Twinkling Watermelon Ep 3 continues drama’s RISE with HIGHEST EVER ratings

Stellar ratings for tvN’s Twinkling Watermelon tonight

The South Korean fantasy coming-of-age drama Twinkling Watermelon, Episode 3 aired on tvN earlier tonight and grabbed the highest ratings the show has had so far.

According to the latest numbers from Nielsen Korea, Twinkling Watermelon, Episode 3 garnered 3.44 percent of the audience share, which is up from the previous episode’s 3.31 percent, which in itself was an increase from Episode 1’s rating of 3.144 percent.

In other words, if Twinkling Watermelon continues to do as well as it has so far, there is a chance the tvN drama could end up with a very high average rating per episode once its 16-episode run ends.

tvN drama earns even higher ratings in Seoul

As for Seoul audiences, they also tuned into the drama tonight in larger numbers.

That is why Episode 3 garnered 3.72 percent of the audience, an increase from Episode 2’s lowest of the series so far rating of 3.38 percent and, again, the drama’s highest rating in Seoul since it began airing.

Twinkling Watermelon stars Ryeoun, Choi Hyun-wook, Seol In-ah and Shin Eun-soo, and tells the story of Ha Eun Gyeol, a boy with deaf parents and someone who also is a naturally talented musician.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Eun Gyeol gets transported back into the past to the time when his parents were still in high school and when his father was in a band.

It is now up to him to bring his parents together, before his dad is able to win over the heart of a girl who is not Eun Gyeol’s mother.

Twinkling Watermelon airs on tvN every Monday and Tuesday evening at 20:50 (KST) and via TVING, with international viewers able to watch the fantasy drama on Viki.
