Watching a band as huge as U2, you sometimes forget the people in the band are just that…people. After all, to some extent, they sometimes seem invincible. So, when U2’s The Edge fell off the edge…of the stage at Rogers Arena in Vancouver a couple of nights ago, for a second you think “How the hell did that happen? Isn’t he God?”

Apparently not as, yes, U2’s The Edge did fall off the edge of the stage while playing his guitar and obviously looking anywhere but where he was going.

The stage is long, but very narrow, and he obviously thought it was wider than it was. His foot hovered over the edge, he took the step and…down he went.

The Edge’s fall was filmed by a fan at the concert (see Instagram video below), and it all happens so quickly, one second he’s on the stage, the next he’s on the ground. Then security are running and pushing people out of the way to get to him.

Luckily, The Edge wasn’t hurt, as he proudly showed off to fans after the concert with an Instagram photo of his banged up arm, with a glass of beer in the other hand, and with the caption, “Didn’t see the edge, I’m okay”.

Bet he’ll look where he’s going next time.

And, if you didn’t already know, some members of U2 seem to be a bit accident prone lately. Watch Bono talk about his bicycle accident in Central Park. That was a nasty one too.

The edge fell off the stage. Poor guy. #U2 #u2ietour2015 #theedge #fall #concert
