German rock band AnnenMayKantereit has released the official video for their new single ‘Wohin Du Gehst‘, and it is as cool as you might expect.
Especially as it is just the lads performing in an old-fashioned living room, but still rocking the hell out of the song with Henning May’s awesomely gruff voice and that cool mouth organ.
As for ‘Wohin Du Gehst, it was originally released on the band’s debut album — AMK — which is no longer available as it was produced on the band’s own indie label. Hence the re-issue on AnnenMayKantereit’s sophomore album Alles Nix Konkretes, which was released in March. (And hold onto that original debut album if you own it, as it may be worth a lot of money some day).
Since then, the album has hit the number 1 spot on the charts in both Germany and Austria, with a number 6 place on the Swiss charts.
Watch the official video below. For me, it’s now on my list of songs I’m currently addicted to, along with one of the band’s other recent releases — Oft Gefragt.
