Watch ‘Apostle’ trailer from Netflix, it’s scary, creepy and M. Night Shyamalan in style

The upcoming Netflix period action horror film Apostle got a new trailer today, and it looks scary, creepy and thrilling.

Apostle stars Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey), Lucy Boynton (Miss Potter), Mark Lewis Jones, Bill Milner, Kristine Froseth and Michael Sheen, and tells the story of Thomas Richardson (Dan Stevens) who goes to a remote island to rescue his sister (Lucy Boynton) who has been kidnapped by a religious cult.

The film is directed by Welsh director Gareth Evans (Killers, The Raid), and definitely looks M. Night Shyamalan in its style. Well, if you ignore the distinct The Wicker Man influence Evans admits he used.

Apostle premiers on Netflix on October 12th. It will debut at the Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas before that.

Meanwhile, watch the new trailer for the horror film below. I think it looks fabulous.
