Watch Beach House Perform ‘Somewhere Tonight’ on Conan — Dreamy and Gorgeous

beach house conan somewhere tonight

Indie dream pop band Beach House were on Conan on Tuesday night (December 15th) where they gave a gorgeous and dreamy performance of their single ‘Somewhere Tonight’. A track from their newest album Thank Your Lucky Stars.

And a live TV performance from Beach House was just a lovely culmination of a stunning year for this fabulous band.

A year in which they released two exceptional albums — Depression Cherry and Thank Your Lucky Stars. Albums which made the best of 2015 lists for several critics, and with the first hitting #1 on the Billboard charts for both Independent Album and Top Rock Album, and the second #39 on the Billboard 200 chart.

And, of course, I say ‘band’, although Beach House does consist of just two people — singer Victoria Legrand and guitarist and keyboardist Alex Scally — although on Conan the pair performed with their touring band. But two people that, together, create some of the most gorgeous music around today.

As for ‘Somewhere Tonight‘, doesn’t it sound and feel like that song is the song that should be playing at a formal dance? Right before everyone packs up and goes home.

The song where all the couples that are still left in the room rush off to the dance floor for one last, romantic slow dance before they have to get back to reality.

As for future performances, if you are in Japan, you can see Beach House play in Tokyo and Osaka at the end of January, 2016, in Singapore on January 30th, and then at whole slew of dates around Australia in February.

Now, watch Beach House perform ‘Somewhere Tonight‘ on Conan on Tuesday night below. I just think it’s lovely.
