British singer-songwriter Birdy gave a gorgeous live performance of ‘Wings‘ this week. She was singing at Sports Relief 2016, a televised event on the BBC for the Sports Relief UK charity event that raises money for the poor and disadvantaged.
‘Wings‘ is from Birdy’s second studio album Fire Within. Released in 2013, it was the lead single from the album and has since been featured on TV series like The Vampire Diaries and Catfish: The TV Show.

And every time I listen to Birdy sing ‘Wings‘ it always strikes me at how incredibly rich, poignant and mature her music always sounds, particularly for someone who wrote this beautiful song when she was just 16 years old (Birdy is now 19).
