Watch Dinosaur Jr. Perform ‘Goin’ Down’ on ‘Conan’ with Sizzling Guitars

Alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr. gave a performance of their new single ‘Goin’ Down’ on Conan this week. (And if you liked it, make sure you listen to one of their first performances of the song on Jools Holland back in June).

A performance that proved yet again that these guys have still got what it takes to rock a room, that their sizzling guitars are second to none, and that lead vocalist J. Mascis’ whining voice is just as powerful as it has always been.

The track is from the indie band’s eleventh studio album, Give A Glimpse Of What Yer Not.

A superb album that has kept the quintessential Dinosaur Jr. sound, but shoved it onto an even higher level.

As for the band, they have been touring since the release of their latest album, and will be picking up where they left off for the final tour dates on March 9th with a concert in Montreal, Canada.

Meanwhile, watch Dinosaur Jr. perform ‘Goin Down‘ on Conan in the video below.

You can pick up Give A Glimpse Of What Yer Not on most major online music sites.

Update, November, 2022: Sadly, Conan removed the band’s live performance of ‘Goin’ Down‘ from YouTube, so we have substituted an equally perfect performance of the track Dinosaur Jr. gave 8 years ago for WXPN’s World Cafe.
