Watch Haim rock new single ‘Want You Back’ in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, harmonies are gorgeous

Watch Haim rock new single ‘Want You Back‘ live in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge

U.S. rock band Haim was in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge this week where they gave a beautiful performance of their new single ‘Want You Back‘.

And while the track has to be one of the dullest songs released lyrics-wise, these three women really do pull off some of the most beautiful harmonies together, and the song is incredibly catchy in its melody.

Want You Back‘ is  the lead single from Haim’s second studio album Something To Tell You. It was released on May, with the album releasing this week.

The track hit the number 2 spot in Belgium and number 4 on the New Zealand Heatseekers chart. It also garnered some pretty rave reviews from critics, with Pitchfork calling it their ‘Best New Track’.

The three sisters, because yes they are, also performed a cool cover of Selena Gomez’s ‘Bad Liar’ using a rather unusual percussion setup. You can watch that below to see what I mean.

As for the album, it is being compared to music by the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac by some. Not bad for three women who only released their debut album in 2013.
