Watch Rick Astley sing ‘Angels On My Side‘ Live at Radio 2 in Hyde Park 2017
British singer songwriter Rick Astley was at Live at Radio 2 in Hyde Park 2017 this weekend where he performed a stellar live version of his 2016 single ‘Angels On My Side‘.
The track is from Astley’s eighth studio album 50, and was the second single from the album. The song actually didn’t do well for Astley upon release, only charting in one country — Belgium.
And that was definitely odd, as 50 itself debuted in the number one spot on the album chart in the U.K., which was his first number one album in almost 30 years.
Watch Astley performing ‘Angels On My Side‘ at Live at Radio 2 in Hyde Park in the video below. According to a Rick Astley tweet, it’s his final live appearance on stage this year.
He does give a damn good live performance.
EDIT: Sadly, Radio 2 has deleted all the videos from Live at Radio 2 in Hyde Park 2017 from their YouTube channel, so I have had to substitute another live performance Astley gave of ‘Angels On My Side‘ last year. And yes, it is still as nice.
