Watch Shakey Graves on ‘Austin City Limits’ — Stupendous Performance (Videos)

The fabulous and iconic concert series Austin City Limits is back in full force with indie folk rock singer Shakey Graves as one of its latest artists. Graves made his debut on the show alongside Ryan Adams (each performed for half the show) and gave a stupendous performance, singing such tracks as ‘The Perfect Parts‘, ‘Family and Genus‘ and ‘Built To Roam‘.

All of Graves’ songs were from his albums And the War Came and his debut Roll the Bones.

Austin, of course, is Shakey Graves’ (real name Alejandro Rose-Garcia) home town, so he must have been thrilled to get an opportunity to appear on Austin City Limits, and to be surrounded by people he knows so well. And as for his performance? Pretty stupendous. Then again, it is Shakey Graves, and I’ve never seen him give a bad one.

The ACL episode featuring Shakey Graves and Ryan Adams will premiere on PBS Stations tonight, Saturday, January 16th at 8pm CT/9pm ET on most networks, but do check the listings on yours to be sure.

Meanwhile, watch Shakey Graves singing ‘The Perfect Parts‘ and ‘Family and Genus’ below, as well as a web exclusive track ‘Built To Roam‘, and a fabulous Behind The Scenes look at the filming of the show.

And, if you love what you hear, I highly recommend Shakey Graves’ albums.
