The wonderful Sturgill Simpson appeared on Conan last night, where he performed his new single ‘Oh Sarah‘. The track is from his superb third studio album A Sailor’s Guide to Earth.
The album was released on April 15th to critical acclaim, and has brought Simpson even more much deserved attention.
As for Sturgill Simpson’s Conan performance of ‘Oh Sarah‘, the song itself is about the pain of being so much in love with someone that there is sometimes a need to get away even while you are promising them you will eventually come back.
And, as usual when Simpson shows up live, he was pretty much perfect at singing it.
Watch him on ‘Conan‘ in the video below, and pick up his new album, A Sailor’s Guide to Earth on all major digital music platforms online now.
