British indie rock band The Maccabees were back on Later…with Jools Holland last night (September 22nd, 2015), where they gave a fabulous performance of ‘Something Like Happiness‘ from their new album Marks To Prove It.
Marks To Prove It immediately went to number 1 on the UK album chart when it was released in July, and was also given rave reviews by a slew of critics.
And, if you haven’t yet listened to the album, you really should. It’s superb.
The band kicked off the pre-release of the album with the lead single ‘Marks To Prove It‘ in May (which they also performed on Jools Holland last night), followed soon after by the second single — ‘Something Like Happiness‘ (which I actually like even better than the first one).
As for ‘Something Like Happiness‘, it’s a song about making sure you take opportunities as they appear. Even if it’s just by telling someone how much you love them.
