The wonderful Canadian indie band The Strumbellas appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night, where they gave a fabulous live performance of their latest single ‘Spirits‘. One of those songs you hear only once, and are then destined to be humming for the rest of the day.
‘Spirits‘ is from the band’s upcoming third studio album Hope. An album that critics so far are loving, seeing as how it’s full of “modern day battle hymns” just like this one.
As for the The Strumbella’s performance, it’s the second major late-night TV show they have hit with ‘Spirits‘ since they first showed up on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last month, where they gave another rocking performance of the song.
For a lesser known Canadian indie band, that’s not a bad way to promote a new album.
Watch them on Stephen Colbert below to see them kill that performance. You can pick up their new album Hope here. It releases tomorrow.
