If you love live music, the late night talk shows now have some of the best on American television. Case in point, The Strumbellas‘ appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week, where they performed their latest single ‘Spirits‘, and another track from their upcoming new album ‘Hope‘. It was the band’s national television debut.
The Strumbellas are an award-winning Canadian band that plays indie rock/folk grass/alternative country music. The band got together in 2008 and currently have two albums out, with a new album, Hope, being released on Six Shooter Records in April.
An album that was recorded at Toronto’s Lincoln County Social Club with producer Dave Schiffman in early 2015. And one that’s already sounding as though it could be as big of a hit with the critics as their debut album.
Watch The Strumbellas perform ‘Spirits’ in the video below. It’s the first single from Hope, and it’s a lovely radio-friendly indie rock song.
Meanwhile, you can pre-order Hope on Amazon.
Update: Sadly, Jimmy Kimmel has deleted The Strumbellas brilliant performance of ‘Spirits’ from his YouTube channel, so I have substituted a similarly fabulous live performance the band gave at the JUNO Awards 2017. Enjoy!
