The Late Show with Stephen Colbert just keeps bringing on the best people in the music industry to perform each night’s musical number. Last night (Wednesday, September 16th, 2015), it was Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp’s turn, appearing on the show together to perform Nelson’s classic song ‘Night Life’.
And, Holy Moley, did they turn in a phenomenal performance.
Nelson and Mellencamp were not just on Colbert’s Late Show to sing, however, They were also there to celebrate and to promote the 30th anniversary of Farm-Aid, the yearly concert that raises money to help America’s family farmers keep afloat.
Farm-Aid kicks off this Saturday, September 19th in Chicago and, of course, both Nelson and Mellencamp will be taking the stage there as well, along with other acts like Imagine Dragons, Neil Young, Holly Williams, Mavis Staples and Dave Matthews.
And, before you watch Nelson and Mellencamp play in the video below, can I just remind you that Willie Nelson is 82 years old. Holy hell, he is amazing.
