Weezer Perform ‘I Love The USA’ on James Corden — It’s Patriotic But Cool

American rock band Weezer appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden last night and, weirdly you might say, they have gone all patriotic with a new song called ‘I Love The USA‘. The track is from their new album Weezer (The White Album), which was released on April 1st.

I Love The USA‘ is a bonus track from Weezer’s digital deluxe edition of the album.

And the band performing it is not that weird, however, when you know the story behind it. The track was written after Apple and NASA contacted Weezer and asked them to write and record a song to celebrate NASA’s Juno Mission to Jupiter. This song is the result.

Watch Weezer’s performance of ‘I Love The USA‘ in the video below. It’s a piano-driven ballad that is actually quite pretty and, even though I am the least patriotic person on the planet, I still think it’s kinda cool.
