The new JTBC drama series Welcome to Samdal-ri, Episode 4 ratings are out, and I am thrilled to report the Korean drama hit an all-time high in its audience numbers last night.

According to Nielsen Korea, Welcome to Samdal-ri, Episode 4 earned 6.50 percent of the audience, which is an increase from Episode 3’s 5.32 percent share nationwide.

Audiences in Seoul apparently liked the romantic comedy drama even more, as it grabbed 7.25 percent of the audience — up from its previous episode’s 6.32 percent.

Those numbers also put the K-drama in the #1 spot on cable.

Welcome to Samdal-ri stars Shin Hye Sun and Ji Chang Wook.

The Korean drama follows well-known photographer Cho Sam Dal and her childhood friend and former boyfriend Cho Yong Pil as they try to navigate the trials and tribulations of their careers, while realizing the feelings they once had for each other may not be completely over.

The K-drama airs every Saturday and Sunday at 22:30 (KST) on JTBC in South Korea, with Netflix streaming it for international viewers.

It will be interesting to see if it shows up on the Netflix Top 10 Most-Watched Non-English TV Shows chart when the latest numbers are released tomorrow.
