Welcome to Samdalri Ep 9 earns highest ever Saturday rating while still ranking well on Netflix

As the Korean drama Welcome to Samdalri heads into its second half with Episode 9 tonight, the latest ratings released by Nielsen Korea should please both cast and crew.

According to those ratings, Welcome to Samdalri, Episode 9 earned the drama’s highest ever rating for a Saturday night nationwide with 8.10 percent of the audience share.

One that is also only a fraction away from the drama’s highest ever rating of the series so far, which it earned for Episode 6 on December 17th. (8.29 percent)

Welcome to Samdalri has been very successful on Netflix

Outside South Korea, the Korean drama has also continued to perform well with international viewers watching the drama on Netflix.

According to that streaming platform’s official data via Tudum, the K-drama was in their Top 10 Most-Watched Non-English TV Show rankings for two weeks, with over 12 million hours of the series viewed so far.

FlixPatrol is also reporting that, yesterday, it was the 17th most-watched show on the platform.

The Korean drama was also in the Top 10 in Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

The next episode of Welcome to Samdalri will air tomorrow night on JTBC at at 22:30 (KST), and stream via Netflix.

Considering the Ji Chang Wook and Shin Hye Sun-led drama earned its highest Saturday rating tonight, chances are we may also see it with its highest Sunday rating tomorrow.
