What’s the song on Crash Course in Romance, Episode 6 at the campsite as Choi Chi Yeol and Nam Haeng Seon talk

There is a romantic song played on the Korean drama Crash Course in Romance, Episode 6 that reminds me so much of Korean songs I used to hear on older K-dramas back in the day.

That song was the one playing on Crash Course in Romance, Episode 6 at the campsite as Choi Chi Yeol and Nam Haeng Seon are talking, and Haeng Seon jumps up to “play some music”.

The retro-sounding song continues to play as Haeng Seon tries to get Chi Yeol to perform some relaxing exercises, so he may find it easier to sleep, and as he accidentally pushes her and she almost falls in the lake.

It ends as Nam Jae Woo and Nam Hae Yi return, and as Chi Yeol begins to back away feeling terrible about what he just did.

We then hear it again, of course, as Haeng Seon is back in her side dishes shop and listening to it on repeat.

The retro-romantic song is a track called ‘Our Nights are More Beautiful Than Your Days‘ (in Korean 우리의 밤은 당신의 낮보다 아), and was released in July, 1996 by a South Korean band called Kona as the first track from their album Overlap.

It is also a wonderful song for that scene for those of us who already know the currently-strange relationship between Choi Chi Yeol and Nam Haeng Seon is only going to strengthen and grow.

Until he cannot live without her, and she without him.

The lyrics of ‘Our Nights are More Beautiful Than Your Days‘ even hint of that relationship to come:

promise me내게 약속해줘tonight오늘 이 밤that you can protect me나를 지켜줄 수 있다고
I’m going with you함께 가는 거야Trust me나를 믿어

Listen to ‘Our Nights are More Beautiful Than Your Days‘ by Kona on their Overlap album, and in the video of a live performance they gave of the song way back in 1996.

It really is a lovely thing.

The fabulous Korean drama Crash Course in Romance is now streaming on Netflix.
