British indie rock band Wolf Alice made their American TV debut on Conan on Tuesday night with their latest single ‘Moaning Lisa Smile‘. The track is from their debut album My Love Is Cool, which releases on June 22nd on the Dirty Hit Records label.
As for the sound of Wolf Alice, it is modern grunge rock with a bit of a pop, and fronted by Ellie Rowsell and her ethereal voice. Not that classification seemed to worry Conan’s audience at all. They just sounded like they loved it.
And, if you like that harder grunge that is also mixed with a beautiful melodic sound, and you are in the UK next week, Wolf Alice will be performing at Glastonbury. I hear they are kick ass live and well worth a view.
