Conchita Wurst: Most Memorable Things About Eurovision (Video)

conchita wurst antwerp interview

With Conchita Wurst in a different European city every weekend, new and fun interviews several times a week with the Eurovision Song Contest winner are becoming the norm. The latest Conchita Wurst interview to be uploaded to YouTube, however, is even more of an in-depth one than normal, as it was done by Eurovision themselves, and they specifically asked Conchita what she thought about the next Eurovision being held in the Austrian capital.

“I have to be honest, I’m beyond happy”, said Conchita, when asked about the Vienna location for Eurovision 2015. “I would have been happy with any other city, because I think it was a great opportunity for all cities in Austria to participate in this little kind of competition and that they put an effort on showing their city – that was great – but, I think it’s 60 years of Eurovision and, in my mind, I pictured it in Vienna from the very beginning.”

Conchita then went on to talk about the album she’s now working on, and how important that is for herself – “because I’ve been doing music in the public eye since 2007 and I haven’t managed to record a full album on my own. So, this is what I need to do”.

One of the nicest parts of this particular interview, however, was the part where Conchita talks about the three most memorable things of her two weeks at Eurovision.

And, of course, being the lovely person she is, all three memorable moments were with the people she loves — her manager René, her friends and, of course, her parents.

You can watch the interview below. Just be warned, by the end of it, you’ll love her even more.
