Destined with You is #3 Most-Watched Non-English TV show on Netflix for week of Aug 28th to Sept 3rd

The South Korean romantic comedy Destined with You made it to the #3 spot on the Most-Watched Non-English TV shows chart on Netflix last week.

According to the streaming service, Destined with You was #3 on the list with a total of 2.9 million views and 13.2 million hours watched for the week of August 28th to September 3rd.

The Korean drama was also in the Top 10 in 43 countries including Thailand, Paraguay, Peru, Greece, Portugal, Singapore, Costa Rica, Japan and Malaysia.

It is the drama’s second week in the Top 10, after debuting last week at #5.

Four other South Korean dramas also made it onto the Top 10 Most-Watched Non-English TV show chart — Mask Girl at #2, Behind Your Touch at #7, King the Land is back on the list at #8 and The Uncanny Counter is at #9.

What is Destined with You?

Destined with You stars Jo Bo Ah, Rowoon, Ha Jun, and Yura.

Netflix describes the drama’s plot like this:

A lawyer bound by a centuries-old curse becomes entangled with a civil servant who holds the key to his freedom — igniting an unexpected romance.

And yes, it is fun, silly, hilarious in spots, beautifully acted by all four main leads and, once you get through the incredibly dull first episode, well worth a watch.

Destined with You airs in South Korea on JTBC every Wednesday and Thursday at 22:30 (KST), with new episodes arriving on Netflix soon after.
