Divorce Attorney Shin, Episode 5 ratings fall slightly but legal drama still holding steady

My favorite drama of the current viewing season, Divorce Attorney Shin, Episode 5 ratings were released earlier today and, as is to be expected on a Saturday night, they fell slightly from the legal drama’s previous Sunday night episode.

Nationwide in South Korea, Nielsen Korea shows the Divorce Attorney Shin, Episode 5 ratings came in at 5.6 percent of the audience in its time slot, while in Seoul the show garnered a higher 6.7 percent of the viewership.

That is a fall of .9 percent nationwide, and a decrease of just .2 percent in Seoul.

In other words, Divorce Attorney Shin, Episode 5 held steady and, with its next episode airing tonight, ie: Sunday, so not a prime night for going out, the drama is likely to see an increase back to its former numbers.

Personally, I still cannot figure out why Divorce Attorney Shin has not yet managed to get back to the 7 percent and 8 percent viewership its first episode earned back on March 4th.

The legal drama is well-written, has wonderfully quirky characters with interesting relationships, the acting is stellar from every actor right down to those in the bit parts, and the trot music used on its soundtrack is superb.

Sure, the first two episodes were a little slow but, once this drama got going, it turned out to be one of the best of 2023 so far.

Plus, Cho Seung Woo. Come on, really!

The next episode of will air tonight on JTBC in South Korea, and will stream on Netflix in some regions soon after.

Divorce Attorney Shin airs every Saturday and Sunday at 22:30 (KST) on JTBC.
