The JTBC drama Doctor Slump, Episode 7 aired tonight to a big jump in its ratings compared to the Korean drama’s previous episode.

New numbers via Nielsen Korea show Doctor Slump, Episode 7 grabbing 5.69 percent of the viewership nationwide tonight.

That is almost 2.0 percent higher than Episode 6’s rating of 3.86 percent last weekend, as well as the Korean drama’s second highest nationwide rating yet.

Seoul ratings for Doctor Slump, Episode 7 even higher

In Seoul, the drama performed even better, jumping from its Episode 6 rating of 3.96 percent — the K-drama’s lowest ever rating in the country’s capital city — to Episode 7’s rating of 6.91 percent.

That is a substantial 3.0 percent ratings increase in just one episode, and also the drama’s second highest rating in Seoul.

In other words, the big ratings drop Doctor Slump experienced for both episodes airing during last weekend’s Lunar New Year holiday appear to be nothing more than an aberration.

Yay!

Doctor Slump stars the stellar main cast of Park Hyung Sik, Park Shin Hye, Yoon Park, and Gong Seong Ha.

The Korean romantic comedy’s next episode will air tomorrow night (Sunday) at 22:30 (KST) on JTBC in South Korea.

Netflix will also stream the latest episode for its international viewers at the same time.
