The latest episode of the Korean historical drama Goryeo-Khitan War (aka Korea-Khitan War) aired on KBS2 last night to a new all-time high rating — again — with each new episode continuing to earn higher ratings than its last.

So much so, a drama that started out on November 11th with just a 5.5 percent rating nationwide posted an 8.4 percent audience share last night.

That rating was up from its previous episode’s rating of 7.8 percent last week.

In Seoul, the KBS2 drama saw the same increase, grabbing 7.8 percent of the audience share last night, which was up from Episode 6’s rating of 6.9 percent.

Those ratings also placed the historical drama in second place on Korean TV for the day in both regions.

International audience response to Goryeo-Khitan War

Audiences outside South Korea are also still responding very well to the drama, with those on My Drama List still rating it a solid 8.2 out of 10, and on Viki where it is streaming for a very limited number of viewers, the drama is being rated a 9.4 out of 10 by 94 viewers.

Unfortunately, the drama is still unavailable legally for a large percent of the Korean drama-watching population.

The next episode of Goryeo-Khitan War will air tonight on KBS2 in South Korea tonight at 21:25 (KST), with those platforms streaming it for international audiences getting it around the same time.

The Korean drama, by the way, is a big deal on KBS where it was produced to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the national broadcaster.
