The new South Korean drama The Glory was released on Netflix on 30th of December, 2022.

Just three days later, the drama was already at #3 in the Global Top 10 Non-English TV category, with more than 25 million hours of The Glory already watched on the streaming channel.

The revenge drama was also in the Top 10 in 19 countries, including South Korea, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand and Taiwan.

Part 1 of The Glory features eight episodes, with Part 2 due to premiere on Netflix in March, 2023.

The drama tells the story of a school teacher (played by Song Hye Kyo) who accepts a job at a specific elementary school for one reason only. To exact revenge on the bullies who made her own school life a living hell.

Bullies whose own child now goes to the school.

Along with Song Hye Kyo, The Glory also stars Lee Do Hyun, Lim Ji Yeon, Yeom Hi Ran and Park Sung Hoon.

The Glory (Korean title 더 글로리) was directed by Ahn Gil Ho (Happiness), and was written by Kim Eun Sook (Mr. Sunshine and Goblin)

It has been praised by international audiences and critics for its gripping story and acting, by both adult and child actors.

It has been criticized for being split into two parts as, for many Netflix viewers, being able to watch a drama in its entirety is one of the big reasons they pay for the streaming service.

Some also believe the plot has been stretched out, and could easily have been concluded in just eight episodes.

Watch The Glory trailer below and, if you can stand to wait two-and-a-half months to see how it ends, watch Part 1 of the K-drama on Netflix now.
