According to Korean news media, actors Kang Ha Neul, Yeom Hye Ran, and Seo Hyun Woo are set to lead the upcoming Netflix film 84 Square Meters (working title).
But, as neither Netflix nor the agencies for the three actors have yet responded, the “news” is, unfortunately, still just a rumor.
However, we do know a few things about the upcoming movie.
What we know about 84 Square Meters so far
The upcoming Netflix film is reported to be being helmed by director Kim Tae Joon (director of 2023’s Unlocked), and is slated to begin filming in the first half of 2024.
The plot also sounds interesting as the movie tells the story of residents in an apartment building who are plagued by noise.
Korean news media reports Kang Ha Neul will be playing a resident in the building, while Yeom Hye Ran is the building manager, and Seo Hyun Woo is a journalist who is also a resident in the building.

The three South Korean actors are all people with a huge number of roles, both main and supporting, under their belts already.
If they do accept roles in 84 Square Meters then, they bring a massive amount of experience with them.
Kang Ha Neul recently starred in the dramas Insider, Curtain Call and When the Camelia Blooms, as well as in films Love Reset, The Pirates 2: The Last Royal Treasure, A Year-End Medley and Waiting for Rain.
He is also due to appear in the Netflix drama Squid Game 2 later this year.
Meanwhile, Yeom Hye Ran is known for her main roles in the recent Netflix drama Mask Girl, as well as in The Uncanny Counter, and The Glory, and in films Citizen of a Kind, Bear Man, The Boys, Black Light and New Year Blues.
She is also set to appear in the drama series When Life Gives You Tangerines in 2024.
As for Seo Hyun Woo, the 40-year-old actor recently had a support role in the hit drama A Shop for Killers, and supporting or main roles in Celebrity, Behind Every Star, Adamas, Flower of Evil, The Lies Within and My Mister.
He also appeared in the hit Netflix film My Name is Loh Kiwan, and in films Phantom, Honest Candidate 2, Thunderbird and Decision to Leave.
In 2024, he has already been cast in main roles in the upcoming dramas Uncle Samsik and Not Very Powerful, But Attractive.
Should all three actors accept offers in 84 Square Meters, it looks like 2024 could be a busy year for all of them.
