The ongoing KBS historical drama Korea-Khitan War is just going from strength to strength in the ratings lately, with its latest episode, Episode 15, grabbing its highest ratings so far last night.

According to the data from Nielsen Korea Korea-Khitan War, Episode 15, which aired on Saturday night after being postponed last week, garnered 10.20 percent of the audience share.

That is a big increase from its previous episode’s 9.4 percent, and the second time the K-drama has hit double digits (10.00 percent for Episode 10).

That rating also made it the second most-watched show on Korea TV on Saturday, behind Live Your Own Life with 17.5 percent of the audience nationwide.

Korea-Khitan War wins big at the KBS Drama Awards

The historical drama was also very successful pulling in the prizes during the KBS Drama Awards, which aired on December 31st, 2023.

Kim Dong Jun was awarded the Top Excellence Award for an actor, Ji Seung Hyun won the Excellence Award for an Actor in a Serial Drama as well as the Popularity Award, Lee Won Jong won the Best Supporting Actor award, Choi Soo Jong and Kim Dong Jun won a Best Couple Award, and screenwriter Lee Jung Woo was given the Scriptwriter Award.

Finally, actor Choi Soo Jong won the Daesang (Grand Prize) for his performance in Korea-Khitan War.

No wonder then more and more people are tuning in.

The next episode of Korea-Khitan War will air on KBS2 tonight at 21:25 (KST).

With the drama often performing even better on Sunday nights, we may see an even higher rating then.
