Got to say after the Korean drama Like Flowers in Sand, Episode 12 (series finale) was postponed from last Thursday to tonight, I was a little worried about how the coming-of-age drama would end up in the ratings.

After all, one postponement can make people forget a drama is airing, or even have them deciding to watch it at a later date.

Luckily for Like Flowers in Sand, Episode 12, which aired on ENA earlier tonight, neither of those things happened.

Instead, what did happen was Like Flowers in Sand, Episode 12 ended the lovely K-drama with its highest ever nationwide rating.

Ratings for Like Flowers in Sand final episode

That rating was 2.83 percent — which was an increase from its previous episode’s 2.75 percent — and a nice rating to end the Korean drama on, considering its first episode aired with a 1.48 percent audience share.

In Seoul, while the drama did not earn an all-time high in the ratings, it still grabbed a very healthy 2.72 percent, which was only a teeny tiny drop from its previous episode’s record high of 2.80 percent.

In other words, the wonderfully written and acted Like Flowers in Sand went out with a bit of a bang instead of a whimper.

And that just made my night.

Like Flowers in Sand stars the just about perfect cast of Jang Dong Yoon, Lee Ju Myoung, Yoon Jong Seok, Kim Bo Ra, Lee Jae Joon, and Lee Joo Seun.

For international viewers in many regions, all 12 episodes of the Korean drama are now streaming on Netflix.

Enjoy, as this one is an audience favorite, which is no surprise as it really has been wonderful.
