American indie rock singer songwriter Damien Jurado‘s song ‘Kola‘ was featured on the latest episode of ‘This Is Us‘ last night — January 17th, 2017, Season 1, Episode 12, “The Big Day“.
The song was played as Dr. K. introduces himself to Jack and Rebecca, and as they are notified that they have lost another baby.
‘Kola‘ is from Jurado’s twelfth studio album Visions Of Us On The Land, which was released in March last year. It was released on the Secretly Canadian label.
As for Damien Jurado, he hails from Seattle, Washington where he works on music that is often a mix of indie folk and found sound recordings.
Jurado has previously had songs featured on the NBC TV series The Blacklist, and on the soundtrack of the 2015 romantic comedy,Tumbledown.
