Hardcore punk band Dead Tired’s ‘Punks at the Gym‘ was one of the epic tracks featured on the newest episode of The Boys this week — The Boys, Season 2, Episode 5, “We Gotta Go Now“.
An epic track during an epic scene, as ‘Punks at the Gym’ was played as Butcher picks a fight with a guy at a concert and beats him up, then gets thrown to the ground by the crowd and beaten up himself.
Yep, you don’t get much more perfect music for a TV show than that.
Dead Tired’s ‘Punks at the Gym‘ is from the band’s self-titled debut album, which was released in 2015 via New Damage Records.
Since that release the band has recorded three EPs, along with a second album that hit shelves last year.
The Boys is based on Garth Ennis’s comic book series of the same name although, if you read it, don’t be surprised to discover it is even crazier than the TV series, and with some storylines that would never make it into a TV series that could be watched by kids.
The first season of the Prime Video super hero series was one of the most popular the streaming service had experienced. The second season of The Boys is currently streaming, and has already been green lit for a third season people love it that much.
